Professional Development
The agency offers professional development trainings on topics relevant to program/agency needs. The topics include:

  • Coaching/Validation
  • Burnout Issues
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Self Injury Behaviors
  • Work/Life Balance

Agency Program Orientation
The Bridge offers a comprehensive orientation for each employee that includes both agency wide and program specific training modules.  Employees receive up to 40 hours of agency wide trainings that include:

  • Intentional Care
  • Workplace Safety
  • Human Rights
  • Diversity
  • QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training
  • MAP (Medication Administration Program)
  • S.O.L.V.E. (Strategies of Limiting Violent Episodes) - certification course
  • First Aid/CPR

Competency Based Training
The agency provides professional skill development training that includes training in Evidence Based Practices.  All of these trainings are competency based trainings in which employees are required to meet specific competency requirements.  Evidence Based Practice Trainings include (among others):

Training Institute
The Training Institute offers continuing education workshops for psychologists, social workers, counselors, educators & nurses. All participants receive Continuing Education Credits. Learn more about the workshops.  The Bridge Training Institute Website.
