POSITION DESCRIPTIONS (not all positions available at all
times)
Special Education Teachers work at one of
our three special education schools, which specialize in individualized
teaching and academic support for youth with emotional disturbances.
Special Education Teacher Assistants are integral
in the small special education classroom settings. Participate
in lesson planning, teaching, crisis intervention and behavior
management.
Program Managers provide services to consumers
while overseeing the day to day operation of the program and
managing counselors.
Clinicians provide services through traditional and DBT
treatment models to individuals, groups and families within residential and
non-residential settings.
Assistant Program Managers provide services to consumers while
assisting with the day to day operation of the program.
Nurses provide oversight to medical care and medication
administration for individuals served by the program. These professionals
provide consultation and attend meetings with psychiatrists and other medical
providers.
Senior Residential Counselors provide support, guidance,
advocacy, case management, and empowerment to the individuals served in various
residential settings located in the community. They also provide leadership to
shifts and assist with some administrative duties.
Supported Housing Counselors provide supportive services
including case management, guidance, advocacy, and empowerment to individuals
living in their own apartments. A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
are required.
Residential Counselors provide support, guidance, advocacy,
case management, and empowerment to the individuals we serve in various
residential settings located in the community.
Awake Overnight Workers provide safety and security for the
program during the overnight hours. This position requires alertness throughout
the night in order to conduct regular safety checks on the program residents.
Relief Staff positions are open throughout the agency - a great
way to gain experience working with varied populations and program settings.
TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Bridge offers a New Employee Orientation program, certification programs
for: Medication Administration Program (MAP), First Aid & CPR, Strategies
of Limiting Violent Episodes (SOLVE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
training and multiple ongoing professional development opportunities.
