The Bridge Launches Partnership with DMH to Advance Innovative CT-R TherapyThe Bridge is pleased to announce our partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health in a grant funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) – to expand the practice of Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) across the state.
Central Community Health Partnership is LaunchedTo address a changing landscape for behavioral health providers as the state moves towards consolidated services for Medicaid recipients, the Bridge of Central Massachusetts, Alternatives Unlimited, LUK Crisis Center and Venture Community Services have successfully launched the Central Community Health Partnership (CCHP). The CCHP unites four premier human service organizations into one Community Partner (CP), serving thousands of MassHealth ACO and Managed Care members.
Webster Five and Local Banks Team up to Support The Bridge Youth Employment ProgramThanks to a generous grant totaling $10,000 from Webster Five’s “Web of Caring to Make a Difference” program, youth and young adults with mental health challenges will receive the coaching and support they need to explore and obtain summer employment.

Webster Five Foundation Donates $10,000 to The Bridge for Youth Employment
The Webster Five Foundation has donated $10,000 to support The Bridge's Youth Employment program, according to Bridge President and CEO Ken Bates. The Foundation donated $5,000 and then offered to match up to $5,000 additional for gifts from other financial institutions. Other financial organizations who donated include Peoples Bank, United Bank, Bay State Savings and Cornerstone Bank. The Youth Employment Program will help young people who have mental health challenges to receive education and support around obtaining and maintaining employment after school or in the summer.
The Bridge Receives Advocacy Award from Association for Behavioral Health (ABH)
The Association for Behavioral Healthcare (ABH) presented The Bridge with the All Politics is Local Excellence in Advocacy Award at the ABH Annual Meeting held on May 8, 2017.
Fallon Health Leads the Way through Presenting Sponsorships
Fallon Health has led the way for the second year in a row, signing on to serve as Presenting Sponsor for both the Safe Homes Gala & People of Courage Awards, and HealthFest. "Their leadership in supporting LGBTQ youth and the health and wellness of individuals with mental health challenges and developmental disabilities is extraordinary", says Bridge President and CEO Ken Bates. "We extend our thanks to the folks at Fallon for leading the way and helping to inspire others to support these important causes, " he added.
Collaborating with the City of Worcester
The Bridge is participating in the Greater Worcester Community Health Improvement Plan, serving as a convener of the Mental Health group and a member of the Substance Abuse Group. In addition, The Bridge is a participant in Quality of Life Task Force Meetings, Worcester Continuum of Care and Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance Meetings.
