Evidence-Based Practice Information

The Bridge is committed to providing evidence-based treatments because the clients we serve deserve the best treatments and interventions available.

WHAT ARE EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES ?

Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) are treatments that are based on scientific evidence. Most EBPs have been studied in large-scale, clinical trials, involving hundreds of clients. EBPs have been shown to be significantly more effective than “treatments as usual.” EBPs tend to be highly structured, manualized treatments that emphasize skills training in a context of compassionate support.

The Bridge offers more EBPs than any other human service agency in Massachusetts. Our commitment to EBPs is shown by the widespread dissemination of these treatments throughout the agency’s programs. See below for a specific listing with links to more information about the most commonly used EBPs at The Bridge.   Download our Clinical Evidence-Based Practice Brochure.
